Health Check Protocol

Health Checks Every Day When Students Can Return If Kept Home For Being Sick?

This is critical and everyone's responsibility. We continue to ask all students (with the help of parents) and staff members to assess their health before coming to school each day.

If your child has a fever, cough, shortness of breath, runny nose, or sore throat: STAY HOME and arrange a COVID test. Children are welcome to return when the test comes back negative AND their symptoms are no longer evident.  You are not required to bring in written evidence of the COVID test result.

If your child has some of the symptoms above, but are connected to an ongoing condition (example: seasonal allergies): get a test and once it is negative, the child is welcome to return to school as long as the symptoms to do not change or get worse.

If your child has a stuffed up nose, headache, muscle or joint aches, fatigue, vomiting, diarrhea, or pink eye: Have a child stay home until ALL symptoms are no longer present.  No COVID test is necessary.

If your child develops any of the above symptoms at school, parents are to ensure their child can be picked up within an hour.  We thank you for planning ahead and providing emergency contacts if you are not able to come on short notice. An emergency contact will be called if the office can not reach a parent or guardian for pick up.

Thank you!
