Tammy Dikeman's Classroom

Welcome to 3DS (Dikeman/Smith)

Welcome to our amazing Grade 4 class! I am so excited to share this year with your child and with yourself. Learning is a lifelong experience that occurs continually. That makes what we do at school and at home equally important!  I will be teaching your child on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday mornings as I am also the Assistant Principal. My focus will be on Language Arts, Social Studies and Health. Witnessing the excitement when students see themselves as readers and writers is a true joy! In the afternoons and on Fridays, Mrs. Smith will be teaching Math, Science, Art and Health. Mrs. Todd-Osika is our school Music teacher and will teach your child for one block on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Mr. Ulmer will teach your child Gym on Wednesday and Thursday.

Academics are the core of a school; building an atmosphere where children feel safe, cared for and confident is key to them being able to learn at their best. My goal is to have every child leave our class feeling proud of their achievements, feeling joyful about their day, feeling confident in their ability and seeing continual growth. Success is for every child and I will work to ensure every student in my class achieves beyond their expectation as a person, a difference maker and a learner.

I believe that together we will make this year an incredible learning experience for your child. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns by writing a note in your child's agenda or by email at tdikeman@rockyview.ab.ca

*Every effort will be made to reply to agenda and written notes daily and to emails within 24 hours on school days. Responses may take longer on weekends and/or holidays.

Thank you for joining our learning journey,

Tammy Dikeman
