Mrs. Mackay's Classroom
Hello! My name is Karen Mackay and I am excited to be joining the Cooper's Crossing Community as part of the Grade 1 team! I have had the pleasure of completing my teaching practicum last year at Cooper's Crossing and I am thrilled to be working with Rocky View Schools.
My passion is people, children in particular. I am continually inspired by their wonder, zest for life, and ability to grow and change. Working with children is a privilege and comes with great responsibilities. I am a dedicated learner and I feel blessed to be teaching.
I began my education at the University of Victoria, receiving a BA in Sociology and History. I completed my Bachelor of Education from Ambrose University. I am excited to bring a some of my learnings alive in the classroom.
I know how important communication is, which is why I will do my best to keep you informed with phone calls, emails and Twitter. I am always available if you have any questions or concerns, please contact me via email: kmackay@rockyview.ab.ca
I'm looking forward to a great year ahead with your child!
