Welcome to first grade! My name is Erin McFarland and it is my pleasure to welcome your child to our classroom for a wonderful year of learning. I am incredibly excited to be team teaching Grade 1 at Cooper's Crossing School. I have taught all of lower elementary from K-3.
It is going to be an incredible year filled with exciting adventures, laughter and many new learning experiences!
Our classroom community will be created by keeping in mind that our space is one that is caring, respectful and safe. Your child's values, experiences, interests, abilities and learning style will help create our learning environment. We look forward to collaborating and building a relationship with you, the parents and guardians of my AMAZING students, to ensure your child has a happy and successful year!

Parent Tips
A family atmosphere prevails at our school with the education of your child being a shared responsibility. We encourage your interest in what your child does each day and welcome your involvement in the classroom, school council and at home.

Please remind your child to practice their home reading on a regular basis.

Please have your child go on our digital levelled reading program Raz Kids and share their reading with you.

Our online library Book Flicks is available to all families, we encourage you to use this on a regular basis.
